Dr. M.C. Vasudevan

Dr. Vasudevan received specialized training in MRI at the South Western Medical Centre, Texas, and participated in international neurosurgical updates in Japan. His early research contributions under the mentorship of Prof. B. Ramamurthi include pioneering work in biofeedback, the neurological impact of yoga, and the pathophysiology of brain disorders. His prolific academic output includes over 40 peer-reviewed papers and contributions to landmark texts such as Ramamurthi & Tandon’s Textbook of Neurosurgery, where he also served as editor.
Dr. Vasudevan’s surgical expertise spans the management of meningiomas, acoustic neuromas, skull base lesions, spinal tumors, AVMs, and brainstem pathologies. He has led or co-authored major publications on topics such as tuberculous brain abscesses, intracranial meningiomas, surgical approaches for spinal injuries, and craniovertebral anomalies. A mentor, educator, and speaker at national and international forums, Dr. Vasudevan continues to influence generations of neurosurgeons through teaching, surgical innovation, and his contributions to neurosurgical literature and monographs. He remains a committed member of the Neurological Society of India (NSI) and is widely respected for his scholarly depth and clinical excellence.
