Dr. G. Vijayshree

Dr. G. Vijayshree is a Consultant Nephrologist with over a decade of clinical experience in Nephrology and General Medicine. She completed her MBBS from Kilpauk Medical College and pursued her MD in General Medicine from Madras Medical College. She further specialized in Nephrology with DrNB training at Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, Chennai—one of the leading centers for renal care and transplantation in India. She has extensive experience in managing a wide spectrum of kidney disorders, including chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), and complex electrolyte and acid–base disorders. Her areas of special interest include prevention of chronic kidney disease, maintenance hemodialysis, renal transplantation, and peritoneal dialysis. Dr. Vijayshree is actively involved in establishing and optimizing dialysis services and has hands-on expertise in advanced renal replacement therapies, including CRRT and extracorporeal treatments. She is also keenly interested in preventive nephrology, especially in early identification and slowing the progression of kidney disease in diabetic patients. Known for her calm, empathetic, and patient-centered approach, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care. She believes in educating patients and their families, enabling them to actively participate in long-term kidney care.
